Maishofen is a community that welcomes cyclists of every ilk. We boast flat, low-traffic bike routes both in and around town that perfectly suited for families with children.

Cycling within the Inner Mountains isn't just for serious mountainbiking - it's an enjoyable, relaxing cycling experience for all of your family. Why not discover the sights and attractions of the region from the saddle of your bike, rather than missing out on so many from behind the wheel of your car!

Bike tours will take you to the neighboring communities of Saalfelden, Zell-am-See or Maria Alm, to Lake Ritzensee - past Kammer and Ritzen castles - or even to the exciting summer toboggan run.

True bike enthusiasts can join the "Tauern Cycle Path" and other long-distance bike paths, all of which run right through our village. And the experts out there should definitely test their mettle against our many mountainbike trails!

All routes are well marked and feature numerous rest areas. Cycling maps will provide you with information about the various routes and destinations, and are available at the local tourist office.
