Hiking amid mighty mountain peaks and lush Alpine meadows

Up on the summits of our 3,000-meter peaks, the ice still glistens in the sun even at the height of summer. Soak in the magnificent Alpine vistas as you enjoy a leisurely hike up to one of our mountain inns. Once there, you should definitely stop in for a hearty traditional snack and make sure you sample some of their home-distilled schnapps! Maishofen itself lies in a broad valley basin. Walkers who'd prefer to remain on the valley floor will discover destinations along their route that are equally interesting and worthwhile.

During the months of June and September, the community organizes guided hikes into the surrounding countryside every week.
