A region welcomes its cattle home
When the cows are driven down from mountain pastures back to the valley, this represents the end of grazing season and the beginning of winter spent in the barns. The cattle are festively adorned with garlands, branches, ribbons, and mirrors and are driven down from the high pastures to the valley farm. Particularly fascinating are the large bells, which are hung around the animals necks. This cattle drive always takes place in mid-September.
